INSPIRATION. EDUCATION.MENTORSHIP. FELLOWSHIP

See you in Toronto, Sunday, October 27th to Tuesday, October 29th.

Don’t miss the opportunity to experience some of the greatest preaching and teaching of our day.

We have a stellar line-up of keynote speakers, workshop leaders, and a wide variety of sessions. This year, our keynotes are Lennett Anderson, M. Craig Barnes and Paula Gooder.

Plus, there’s Fine-Tuned Preaching – an extraordinary session which offers the opportunity to preach to a small group that will offer encouraging feedback and constructive suggestions and requires the preparation of a twelve-to-fifteen-minute sermon or portion of a sermon in advance. Each group will be led by two mentors.

Participants often speak of Fine-Tuned Preaching as one of the highlights of the entire event.

Two and a half days of keynotes, workshops, private and public preaching events, sharing meals, networking, and fellowship. An amazing education event for clergy and all who value quality preaching, and so much more – not to be missed.

Preaching In The New Creation

The current state of our world reminds us that we are still in the old creation and “subjected to futility” (Romans 8:20). On the other hand, Jesus ushers in a new kingdom saying, “I am making all things new” (Revelation 21:5). If true, what difference does it make to preaching? The new creation is not just future. Believers are themselves already “a new creation” (1 Corinthians 5:17). In Christ we have a new covenant (Hebrews 8:8-13), a new law, a new freedom, a new relationship with God, a new start, a new community, and new “good news”. We live in a new age, are promised new bodies (Romans 8:19-20) and “new heavens and a new earth” (Is. 65:17; 66:22). Our theme, ‘Preaching in the New Creation,’ has two meanings: we ‘preach-in’ the new creation by proclaiming it, and we preach amid signs of the new creation in the world. It is both present and still coming.

The Lester Randall Preaching Fellowship for 2024 focuses on new beginnings offered in the new creation. God is at work, in part to renew preaching. Our excellent speakers will address a range of related topics. Together we will rediscover the new creation that God speaks into existence: “so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11.)
